Community Managers are on the frontline, balancing the needs of customers, dealing with members of the company and leading the way when it comes to social business.
Hear from the hotest job title in social media in 2012 and learn how those in the position, see it evolving in 2013. Community management can have different roles depending on the industry. This panel will have community managers representing agencies, brands, media, and showcasing both enterprise and small businesses.

Special Guest Moderator -Todd Olmstead, Associate Community Manager, Mashable.
Todd is Mashable's Associate Community Manager. He holds a master's degree from New York University, where he studied digital journalism and innovation at Studio 20. Before moving to New York, he was a producer for the annual Mission Creek Festival in Iowa City, where he also covered the local music scene. He has a B.A. in English from Colby College.
Guests include community managers from business, agency and enterprise companies.
Ilana Kaplan, Senior Associate, Community Management, Digitas
Ilana Kaplan is currently a Senior Associate in Community Management at Digitas in New York City. She handles digital marketing campaigns, content strategy and engagement for various brands. She has previous experience in digital marketing and community management from working at VaynerMedia and Siemens Corporate Research. When she's not at Digitas, she freelances as a music journalist for a variety of magazines, interviewing bands and attending concerts. She currently resides in Brooklyn.

Edward's background in communications, marketing and social media over that past decade positions him to transform employee communities into hubs of creativity and discovery. He helps employees understand the tools that a social intranet has to offer and tailor them to address key business needs. In doing so, Edward fosters an increasingly collaborative culture that can drive innovation and business results.
Always eager to connect with other community managers, Edward attends and speaks at conferences on the topic. Outside of his day job, Edward serves on the Board of Directors for INROADS NY/NJ, an internship program for underserved youth. He's also active in the INROADS Alumni Association both locally and globally.
Edward and his wife Tanya are the proud parents of twin daughters Bria + Brielle. The couple met while attending their alma mater Boston College.
